Leo Arnoult, CFRE
Leo Arnoult established Arnoult & Associates Inc. to help nonprofit organizations strengthen their development programs. He was the founding President of the Memphis chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and has served on its national board of directors. He currently serves on the board of the Giving Institute, formerly the American Association of Fund Raising Counsel (AAFRC) and is past Chair of the Giving USA Foundation, which publishes Giving USA, the annual report on charitable giving and philanthropic trends.
Arnoult was a professional community organizer with Saul Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation serving in the Midwest and Northeast. He then became the chief development officer at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where he helped establish a strategic plan that transferred CBU from an undergraduate college to university status. He also organized successful annual and capital campaigns. Before leaving CBU, for several summers, he organized a development and marketing institute for K-12 Catholic and other private schools that drew dozens of schools from a six state regional area.
